What Are Design Technology Health Safety Rules?

· All injuries must be reported to the teacher no matter how small they are.

· Students must tell the teacher about any physical disabilities, medical problems, or Allergies which affect their class.

· Protective clothing must be worn

· Students must tie up long hair

· Do not wear loose clothing

· Eye protection must be worn when you are working at a machine so that any thing dose not get in to your eyes.

· One person should work at machine

· Students must never take unsafe shortcuts.

· The right tools must be used for the right jobs

· No running in the technology room.

· No throwing of any at people or things because someone can get hurt.

· Do not distract other people if they are doing something.

· All bags must be tided away so no one trips over them.

· Never enter the Technology rooms without a teacher Permission.

· Never touch any piece of equipment or machinery without the teacher's Permission.

· When carrying sharp or pointed tools carry them down by your side and return them safely to the cupboard when you are finished with them.

· All people must remove ties and roll up their sleeves so they do not get stuck in the machine.
