How big does a black capped chickadee get?

The black-capped chickadee typically measures about 4.7 to 5.5 inches (12 to 14 cm) in length and weighs between 0.3 to 0.4 ounces (8 to 12 grams). This small songbird is easily recognized by its distinctive black cap and bib, white cheeks, and olive-gray wings and back.
