Can you skip a level on Devil May Cry 4?

Yes you can but you need XBOX Live cos if the other player on campaign has got further than you then yourself can skip a level and play the level that the other player has chosen. Really what happens is you tag along to him to skip a level. I did it with ma friend, he'd got further than me so i tagged along on the level after the one I was stuck on.
