How do you swing from a pole in ac brotherhood?

There is 2 ways:

1. Freerun by holding RT and A for Xbox, R1 and X for PS3 or Right mouse button and Space then run into a pole

2. Grab the pole, then hold RT and A for Xbox, R1 and X for PS3 or Right mouse button and Space, until you are swinging, then hold the "Move Forward" Button
