How long should a piece of luggage last?

Luggage should last a good amount of time, it also depends on how much you travel and how much wear and tear is on the luggage itself. If you travel at least a couple times a week your luggage is susceptable to more damage because of the risk that is taking when traveling numerous times during the week. If someone us using their luggage a couple times a year then their luggage could last them years.
