Friday the 13th was first established in 1501. This was when it was beleived the Friday was supposed to be just and unlucky day, the 13th or not. Everyone took precaution on Friday. Friday would've just stayed an unlucky day, but a poor soul from northern France came in England, and started telling everone that the number 12 was God's number. At first the rumor was harmless, but as it spread, it got more and more beleiveable. Finally, the news came to the King. The king too beleived it, and from that moment on, everyone went to church and dedicated that days work to God. But it wasn't long until people thought that 13 was the devil's number, so they combined the two (friday and the 13th) and created a new deadly holiday.
