The poem says it all. It shows or tells us that the poetess would rather have courage throughout her life than have attachments ofn this world. She makes it clear that she wants to have a chainless soul which is not Materialistic in nature, with all the Freedom and hapiness beyond this worldliness. Is-"Leave the heart that now I bear
And give me liberty."
