Are jeeps still used in the military?

As of today there are no Jeeps being used by US Armed Forces. Most likely replaced by the LUV "Light Utility Vehicle" the "Growler". The Growler and the Jeep Grand Cherokee share many similarities.

The Jeep M-151A2 was replaced by the Humvee which went into service in 1984. However there are still Jeeps being used by over 100 other militaries around the world. The U.S. does have a similar vehicle called the Growler light strike vehicle which is smaller and designed to fit into the V-22 Osprey Transport. It uses the M-151 A2 drivetrain but no other M-151 A2 parts.
