Why does ganondorf kidnap Zelda?

Ganondorf kidnaps Zelda because Ganondorf has a part of the triforce and he wants all the triforce parts and Zelda has one part of the triforce and Link has the other.Link got away, and that's why Ganondorf kidnaps Zelda,instead of both Zelda and Link.
