The way I do it is to put the car in drive and drive slowly so I do not loose control on the slippery surface.
Most people need to think of the following:
- Drive slowly enough that you can stop in an emergency
- Drive slowly enough so that when the car starts to slip you can regain control before crashing.
- Allways remember the idiots around you will loose control and you need to be able to avoid them.
- Take the time to find out how your car behaves in slippery weather
- Buy good winter tires
