Why are the United Postal Service trucks brown?

The United Postal Service trucks are all painted brown. The color brown was chosen because it was considered neat , professional and dignified. All the trucks running under the system are of the same color to give them the identity so people know and recognize them. It is known as the UPS more commonly and it started off in 1913.
