What was D'Artagnan's first name please?

D'Artagnan, the character from Alexander Dumas' books The Three Musketeer's is based off the real life person Charles de Batz-Castelmore, Comte d'Artagnan. However, in the sequal book Twenty Years After, he is given the first name John.
