There are a great many stories about Poseidon he being one of the three major gods of the Greek pantheon. Therefore we cannot assign a particular moral to them all as there are many. You would have to pick one particular story to get a unique answer.

However to disprove your assertion that Q&A sights are useless I will provide you with one moral for one particular story concerning Poseidon.

Poseidon and Athena contented for the patronage of the City of Athens. In an attempt to woe their support Poseidon provided them with a saltwater fountain. Athena on the other hand invented the Apple tree for them. Now even though the fountain was more spectacular the Apple tree (of course) had far superior value. After all you can't drink from a saltwater fountain. And the patronage went to Athena.

moral: quantity vs quality is decided on magnitude.
