Why did Bullseye kill Elektra?

Bullseye killed Elektra on the orders of the Kingpin in order to manipulate Daredevil emotionally and to prove his loyalty to the crime lord. Elektra's death also served as a way to further escalate the conflict between Daredevil and his enemies.
