What is a device in which work output equals work input?

A perfectly efficient machine, which doesn't exist in the natural world. The reason it doesn't exist is because any kind of work gives off energy byproducts (for instance, heat differential, friction, so on and so forth). Kind of like a perpetual motion device (which you could make by linking the outputs to the inputs on a perfectly efficient machine).
