What is senority rules?

Whoever was there the longest, is in charge.

Oldest brother/sister - been around the longest, they have seniority.

Say I have been working at a daycare center for 2 years with that being my only experience....and a new girl comes in with 10 years experience elsewhere...well, I have seniority because I have been here the longest, even though she is older and more experienced.
