What year did harley Davidson start selling the v twin?

H-D's first Vtwin was 1909. It was unsuccessful due to it's atmospheric intake valves and leather drive belt. It was dropped from the line in 1910 and reintroduced in 1911 with mechanical intake valves and a chain driving the rear wheel.
