Why can't a trapezoid be a regular polygon?

A regular polygon is a polygon in which all sides are of the same length and all angle are of the same measure. A trapezoid (trapezium to most people) is a four sided polygon or a quadrilateral. If its sides and angles were all equal, the quadrilateral would have to be a square.
