Can't move lever out of park?

I had same problem. Check you brake lights. They are not working right? There is a safety switch at the back of your brake pedal. should be white box attached to the shaft behind the pedal. Follow the 2 wires attached to that white safety switch box and see if they are cut or unplugged. that switch locks up your button on the shifter so you cant get it out of park. (for safety reasons.)
