The eight steps of troop leading procedures are:

Make a Tentative Plan - Develop a preliminary plan based on the mission and available information.

Initiate Movement - Begin the necessary movement of troops to the location of the operation.

Conduct Reconnaissance - Gather information about the area and enemy positions to refine the plan.

Complete the Plan - Finalize the plan incorporating information gained from reconnaissance.

Issue the Complete Order - Communicate the detailed plan to all members of the unit.

Supervise and Refine - Oversee the execution of the plan and make adjustments as necessary.
