Can you use elephant toothpaste for cleaning?

Elephant toothpaste is a popular science experiment that demonstrates an exothermic reaction between hydrogen peroxide, yeast or potassium iodide, and dish soap, producing a large foamy eruption. While it creates a visually impressive display, it is not suitable for cleaning purposes.
