How do you delete a second life account?

Only Linden Labs (the creator of Second Life) can delete an account. To request deletion, log into your SL account, then use the HELP tab to open a ticket asking for deletion.

However, you can cancel your account. Click on "Account" in the main (left side) menu, then click on "Cancel Account". Please note that reinstating a canceled will cost a one-time fee of USD 9.95, regardless if it was a free account or not.

Also note that if you request your account be deleted, its GONE. Inventory cannot be recovered if you change your mind, so for that reason it is just better to cancel the account (which will remove you from the search engine).
