Who is shechem in gen 34?

In Genesis 34, Shechem is the son of Hamor the Hivite and a prince of the city of Shechem. He becomes infatuated with Dinah, the daughter of Jacob and Leah, and he violates her. After this incident, Shechem seeks to marry Dinah and offers to pay a bride price, prompting a violent response from Dinah's brothers, who deceive him and the men of his city into circumcision before attacking them.
