Only nylon is a fiber of those in the list above, Neoprene is a synthetic rubber that is usually made into a foam sheet and used for waterproof clothing/protective gear. Gore-Tex is a laminate of a perforated Teflon film and a textile; the perforations in the Teflon layer are so small that water as a liquid cannot penetrate but water vapor (gas) can.
