Hi,
Yes, I have an experience with sexual surrogate therapy in clinical work. I'm a certified male surrogate partner since 1997. According to the code of ethics I work in conjunction with a therapist. I'm helping women at all ages with all the issues around intimacy sexuality and relationships.
In my work I combine the Masters & Johnson's model with new cognitive behavioral approach, mindfulness, and holistic modalities.
This therapy is more than talking therapy, it is experiential and has high level of success because in combines both - talk therapy with real time relational exercises.
The sessions with the surrogate partner start with creating safe space for the client - talking, creating rapport and learning how to communicate, get acquainted and feel comfortable with one another.
When the client feels ready, the surrogate and the client use structured techniques for incorporating touch in the session, starting with holding hands in a structured safe way, taking baby steps in each session according to the plan that was created in the verbal session between the client and the therapist.
In this therapy process, both the therapist and the surrogate partner are creating safe space for the client and giving information about relationships, intimacy, communication, sexuality and more.
