What breed of dog is Buck from Married with Children?

The dog who played buck, (whose original name was Mike) in the 80's-90's show "Married... with Children" was a Briard. Buck was three years old when he was added to the cast of "Married... With Children" and continued to play the role for nine years. He died a year after he retired at the age of 14.
