Does technology bring us closer together?

The computer has been used as a tool (along with internet service providers and social media websites, among many other things) to allow people to send messages, photos, and videos of themselves to others and create, maintain, and re-spark relationships online. Think of people coming together using a computer the same way they may meet each other at a coffee shop using a car or truck.
