How do you covert cm to m?

Prefix 'centi' is used to denote sub multiples and uses factor 10-2 or 0.01

In order to convert centimeters to meters, value in centimeters has to be multiplied by 'centi' factor.

For example: 100 centimeters = 100 * 10-2 = 100 * 0.01 = 1 meter
