A quitclaim deed transfers ownership of property without guaranteeing any protection against creditors. While it can change the name on the title, it does not shield the property from debts or claims against the previous owner. If the debtor is still liable for debts, creditors may still pursue the property through legal means, such as liens or foreclosure. Therefore, simply using a quitclaim deed does not inherently protect your home from debtors.
