Where are Toshiba televisions made?

Toshiba now outsources over 70% of their television production to Taiwan.

In 2006, Toshiba farmed out assembly of some televisions to Quanta in Taiwan using LCD panels from AU Optronics and Chi Mei Optoelectronics.

in 2006, Tatung and Compal Electronics also manufactured LCD televisions for Hitachi. Compal was to produce two million televisions for Hitachi in 2009. Both Tatung and Compal are based in Taiwan.

In 2009, Wistron, an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) based in Taiwan, landed a deal with Toshiba to manufacture two million LCD televisions for Hitachi.

In 2010, Toshiba planned to outsource 700,000 televisions to Chinese-based Konka for manufacturing. Taiwan-based Wistron, TPV Technology and Unihan Technology (a subsidiary of Pegatron Technology) also landed large manufacturing orders from Toshiba in 2010.
