Yes. It's safer to deliver a baby while there are no signs or symptoms of a break out. There is a very high chance of passing herpes to the baby if the mother delivers the child while there are any signs or symptoms of a break out. If you do have herpes and if your pregnant then you may want to talk to your doctor about taking antiviral medicaiton. Some of them are safe to take and should be taken a few weeks before the due date to help prevent break outs so you can deliver safely and naturally.
