Why internet is the worlds greatest invention of mankind?

The printing press was probably the greatest invention because it allowed people to share their ideas with others. The internet does the same thing but on a global scale. It lets people from different countries in the world to work together on the same project. It will greatly advance technology and for this reason it is man's greatest invention.
