Although very few desktop computers use Android at the moment, the ones that do will probably need less internet security measures than a Windows PC. Android uses a package manager, so only known and installed software can run. It requires user knowledge and permission for new software to be installed. It also uses a repository (Android Market) which only allows the distribution of non harmful software. Android uses the Linux kernel, which is a real-time operating system, so fewer time based security holes exist.
