How long do you cook a doubled pavlova recipe?

I found that after 4 days in the fridge, it starts to taste stale. Max a week? I have frozen them with success for 2 weeks in a bread-saver container, but dont know if it could last longer, since I didnt keep it in there that long. Its pretty fast to make though, so best to make a fresh batch when needed.
