How come you can buy a new crystal bow from the grand exchange but you cant sell it?

The crystal bow degrades in status after every 250 shots. The status of the bow is per player and not per bow. Thus if you have previously used a crystal bow and degraded it with use, the degradation will apply to a new bow purchased on the Grand Exchange, and you will not be able to sell it back, since only new bows can be sold.
