Cinder cone volcanoes typically range in height from about 30 to 400 meters (100 to 1,300 feet). However, some can reach heights of over 800 meters (2,600 feet) under certain conditions. Their steep slopes and conical shape result from the accumulation of volcanic debris, such as ash and cinders, ejected during eruptions. Despite their relatively modest height compared to other volcano types, they can be quite prominent in the landscape.
