It means you learn about art, music, history, and are open to learning all you can in life as you live and travel. A Renaissance man is a man that likes the finer things in life and is not afraid to share what he knows and is open to experience without limits. Many people in the world limit themselves to one thing and will tell you they aren't interested in anything new. Not the Renaissance man.
