How painful is wisdom teeth extraction I am getting mine out and im really nervous it is going to hurt im also afraid my face is going to swell up like a balloon. How long till i recover?

I had mine removed 2 days ago and it didn't hurt a bit. When I first got in the chair and they put the IV in my arm the dentist told be about the procedure and started putting different types of medicine to help me with the procedure. I fell asleep in about 3 min and when I woke up I was lying in my bed. I didn't remember anything from when I fell asleep to my friend driving me back to my dorm room. My face didn't swell much because of the medicine that was given to me. I still feel no pain what so ever.

I don't know if me being in the Air Force makes anything different as I'm sure the civilian dentists will do the same thing for you.
