Anyone should be allowed to own any animal as a pet and do with it as he wishes?

No. Too many animals are too dangerous to be owned as pets. The government has the right to restrict ownership. Ken Burnstein's lion escaped from his yard and tried to eat a child. A python escaped and ate a baby. Pit bulls have mauled many people. Too many animals become entirely too dangerous as adults to be kept as pets.
