Who founded practical action?

Practical Action was founded by Dr. Fritz Schumacher in 1966. Originally known as the Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG), the organization aimed to promote sustainable and appropriate technology for developing countries. Dr. Schumacher, an economist and author of "Small Is Beautiful," emphasized the importance of environmentally sound and socially responsible solutions to improve livelihoods. The organization later rebranded as Practical Action to reflect its mission more clearly.
