How do you reject a guy politely without hurting him?

If a boy asks you out, and you aren't interested in him, imagine how you would feel in shoes. you could start by saying something such as 'wow, thank you, that's really nice.' and then proceed to say something such as 'i do like you, but why don't we just stay friends?' you could add 'why risk our friendship to date and then possibly break up, causing fights and losing our friendship?'. if you are really scared of hurting his feelings, just say ' I'm not allowed to date yet,' or 'thanks, but i don't date' just don't turn around and ask somebody else out!
