Charles "Lucky" Luciano was initially incarcerated at the New York State Penitentiary in Clinton, commonly known as Dannemora, after his conviction for compulsory prostitution in 1936. He later served time at other facilities, including the United States Penitentiary in Atlanta, Georgia. Luciano's prison time ultimately ended when he was deported to Italy in 1946 after his sentence was commuted.
