Are dairy goats or meat goats more profitable?

Beef is more profitable. Most dairies don't even break even do to the government keeping the prices that they can sell their milk for very low. As a result companies like HOOD can make huge profits selling the milk while the dairy cant even cover the costs that it took to produce the milk in the first place. On the other hand the beef industry also has it hard and it can be difficult to make a living as a farmer no matter what kind of cattle you choose to raise. You also have a bigger starting cost with dairy cows because you have to by a lot more equipment.
