What is the current exchange rate of the US dollar to an Italian dollar?

There is no Italian dollar. The previous currency for Italy was the lira, but it was eliminated in favor of the more-stable Euro in 2002. Lira coins and bills are no longer legal tender, but can be converted into Euros until February 29, 2012.
