Can you give me the explanation of the thought 'Just living is not enough one must have sunshine freedom and a little flower'?

The way I would interpret it would be that simply just surviving isn't enough in life, people must also have opportunities (sunshine), freedom to go their own way and reap the products of those opportunities (a little flower).
