Why won't the engine start after a minor impact accident?

The "minor impact" was probably enough to trip the inertia switch that controls power to the fuel pump. Not knowing what type of vehicle you have, it's hard to tell where the inertia switch is located. Check your owner's manual or a repair manual (Hayne's or Chilton's) for your vehicle to locate the inertia switch (aka fuel cut-off switch).
