Three advantages:

1.) When on vacation, it helps reduce carrying cash.

2.) Being able to pay unexpected expenses that can't wait, (immediately.)

3.) Good credit provides proof to others of your finacial responsibility, and can make it easier to obtain credit in the future.

Three disadvantages/drawbacks:

1.) Finance charge; The cost of credit.

2.) High interest.

3.) Credit card fraud.
