What does the color brown represent in flags?

In national flags, Brown is present in three flags, The Dominican Republic, Moldova, and Cocos. In all cases, the color brown only part of a larger item and not representative of any greater meaning. It is the feet of the parrot on the Dominican Republic flag, it is the trunk of the palm tree on Cocos flag, and it is color of the eagle on the Moldovan flag.
