As of January 2012, the starting hourly wage for a Wisconsin Conservation Warden was $21.61, which equals $44,948 a year. In addition wardens receive what is called shift differential pay of 45 cents per hour for hours worked between 6pm and 6am and weekend differential pay of 60 cents per hour for hours worked between 12:01am on Saturday and Midnight on Sunday. Also, conservation wardens are eligible to earn overtime. Finally, they are issued take-home vehicles, which saves on yearly gas expenses of having to drive to and from work.
