Well, sweetheart, if Earth's magnetic field were solid, it would probably look like a big, lumpy mess. Kinda like a cosmic potato left out in the sun too long. It would appear that way because things aren't meant to be solid when they're supposed to be all wibbly-wobbly and constantly moving to protect our precious planet.
